Standing at 4,167m, Jbel Toubkal is the highest peak in North Africa and the Arab world — and the centrepiece of the High Atlas. Our certified Berber guides lead the classic 2-day climb via the Imlil valley and mountain refuge, as well as longer expeditions that link the summit with remote valleys and the Sahara. Every route is paced for acclimatisation, supported by local muleteers and cooks, and runs year-round (winter ascents use crampons and ice axes).

Yes. Since 2019, Moroccan regulations require a licensed local mountain guide for all groups climbing Mount Toubkal. Our Royal Moroccan Federation–certified guides handle navigation, pacing, refuge logistics, and safety on the trail.
The standard 2-day route is moderate to strenuous — not technical in summer, but demanding because of altitude, steep scree, and long summit days (often 8–10 hours on day two). If high altitude is new to you, the 3-day Toubkal ascent is usually the better first climb — the extra day helps with acclimatisation before the refuge and summit push. Fit hikers short on time often choose the 2-day Mount Toubkal climb. Our blog compares both routes side by side.
Trips include pick-up from your Marrakech accommodation, then a scenic drive to Imlil (1,740 m) — the main trailhead for Toubkal National Park. From Imlil you trek via Berber villages to the mountain refuge before summit day.
